It is an important part of the prevention and treatment of patients at high cardiovascular risk. Aim: The aim of the work was to evaluate the effect of early cardiorehabilitation on a group of patients who completed the cardiorehabilitation regime in 2019 in the spa Teplice nad Bečvou. Methodology: The analyzed group consisted of 53 patients who underwent a 28-day regime of early cardiorehabilitation in the spa after cardiac surgery. The effect of the completed cardiorehabilitation, especially on cardiovascular risk factors and on performance parameters, was evaluated by comparing the findings at the entrance and exit examinations. Results: In the monitored group, there was a statistically significant improvement of anthropometric parameters (BMI, waist circumference), spiroergometric results, some lipid parameters (total cholesterol, HDL, TAG), C-reactive protein and natriuretic peptide B during cardiorehabilitation. Differences of the studied parameters compared using the Wilcoxon test were statistically significant (p˂0.001). Conclusions: Our work showed an improvement in the results of spiroergometric examination, lipid profile and anthropometric parameters in patients who underwent a 28-day regime of early cardiorehabilitation.
